LOS ANGELES

It is easy to fly to the "City of Angels" with almost all the major airlines offering direct routes. I travelled by the ever-dependable United Airlines.

On arrival at LAX, I was met by a huge white eye-popping, neck craning limo courtesy of Bravoair (rates negotiable) that, funnily enough, also flew me around LA to film from a helicopter. This is the most amazing way to see the city.

This is the most amazing way to see the city. While staying at the luxurious Peninsula hotel I shopped on Rodeo Drive and was filmed on 2 Rodeo. I was pampered by the lovely Bianca at The Tova Spa, owned by the wife of screen legend Ernest Borgnine, on North Canon Drive and wallowed in culture (free entry) at The Getty Museum in the Santa Monica hills.

Finally, I ate at the astoundingly opulent Ginza Sushiko (again on 2 Rodeo) before heading back for dessert in the dining room of the Hotel Bel Air.
